The Nest
The UGBS Nest, established in 2022, serves as a dynamic innovation space within the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). The hub is dedicated to nurturing student business ideas and creating an environment that supports their development into viable enterprises. While the business school focuses on equipping students with essential business management skills, the hub complements this by teaching students how to bring their ideas to life, ultimately impacting lives and society positively.
Since its inception, the UGBS Nest has incubated startups such as, Fihankra Comtech LLC, AgriMecab, Wipe360, Ecofiber, UpCraft, Feathery Care, Career Path, just to mention a few and forged partnerships with numerous stakeholders to support innovation and incubation among students and individuals. Key partners include the British Council, Harvard Innovation Hub, The Amazon Accelerator, Agric-Connect, The Research and Innovation Systems for Africa (RISA) Fund, The United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Enterprise Mentorship & Coaching Support, AMG Fertilizers, and TotalEnergies.
The core mandate of the UGBS Nest is to promote innovation, commercialization, tech transfer, and entrepreneurship within the University of Ghana. The hub emphasizes interdisciplinary engagement, bringing together students, faculty, researchers, and industry experts to foster an environment conducive to ideation, prototyping, and the transformation of concepts into viable business ventures.

Here, we not only provide physical infrastructure but also offer a wealth of knowledge, guidance, and expertise.
